Anyone else washing new/used baby clothes before baby wears them?

Got a few clothes new and used and am washing them all. Is this a norm or am I being extra?

Yep! Just got done washing them last night! I only washed from newborn to 3 months. And I didn't wash a few that still had tags since she is measuring to be big and might not fit newborn clothes at all, and I want to be able to return the ones that are too small

I accidentally hit no but I ment to hit yes. Yeah girl completely normal to wash everything. I am starting to wash things today. I'm only washing a few though because my daughter is supposedly ahead of growth so I don't know how big she will be (and her dad is 6'6" while I am 5'4"). So I'm unsure if she will on the taller side or smaller side once born. I'm washing 3 newborn outfits and 3 3 month outfits just to be safe (for hospital wear and at home wear). The rest I'll wash when she's here just to ensure I don't have to take things back. But you're fine with washing whatever you want. 👍🏼💗

Always wash new clothes :) baby skin is sensitive so need to make sure all clothes are nice and fresh and chemical free !

Yes! Always wash never/used clothing and fabric! Ick, the fabric sits in factories where mice run 😬 plus you never know who touched what before they touched the clothes and baby shouldn't be exposed to too many germs right away. I even wash mine and hubby's clothes before we wear them.

If anything definitely wash used, even if someone said they already washed them... I've been delaying washing mine but finally put them in today little bit of newborn stuff we have and also all 0 to 3 months clothing plus her bibs receiving blankets and blankets
