Anyone else have a little one with a tongue tie? We knew right away my little girl was tongue tied because my husband is and he asked them to check in the nursery right after she was born. Tongue ties tend to run in families so we always assumed she would be. She does not breastfeed due to this, so I pump and bottle feed. All the information I can find online is directed towards breastfeeding and says nothing about bottles. My little one seems to have a terrible time latching to bottle nipples and sucks a lot of air at the corners of her mouth during feeds. She is gaining plenty of weight so insurance won't pay to have her tongue tie fixed. Does anyone have any experience with a baby with a poor latch on a bottle? What nipples/bottles worked best. We currently use Dr. Browns but she's still getting tons of air and screams in pain after eating a half ounce.
