Thyroid medication & missed period?

Hi ladies. Hypothyroid and started medication about 3 weeks ago. I am now a week late for my period, which is unusual. I have been within 3 days every month so far. I did get off birth control about 9 months ago but my periods have regulated somewhat. Does anyone have an experience where thyroid medication (levothyroxine) delayed their period or messed up their cycle? Now I'm so confused as to when I will be ovulating.

I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. My levels weren't too extreme, so I'm on a low dosage of Levothyroxine. This is my 2nd month taking it and it caused my period to be almost 2 weeks late, which is unusual for me because my cycles are regular like clockwork. I took a test, but it was negative. I got my period a few days later and it was extremely heavy with strong cramps. I'm guessing this was just my body getting used to being on this prescription. Once my thyroid levels get back to where they should be I hope to conceive ASAP!

I'm hypothyroid as well, and with extremely irregular periods, but I also have the implant which will make you irregular, so I can't really say if the thyroid influences it since it always gets blamed on the BC. I know hypothyroidism can have an impact on your reproductive system in general though.
