Marriage Advice and Stuff....
So my SO and I have been together a month shy of four years and were friends throughout high school. We have discussed marriage and children and have lived together for the entire time we've been together. We both want the same things in our future so that isn't an issue. We are both about to turn 24 in Dec and Jan. He wants to wait to get married after we are debt free and have our finances in order, which I completely understand and mostly agree with. I have never been in a rush to get married, but lately I've just been wanting it more and more. I know we love each other and that's really all that's important me. He, I guess you could say, is more traditional. Wants to propose to me, have a wedding, the whole shebang. I wouldn't mind it but I've found myself also not minding just getting married without the whole big party, right now. I don't know if it's just a phase or what. My dad passed away August before last so I really don't have anybody to walk me down the isle other than my Grandaddy and let's face it he's not getting any younger lol. I'm just afraid waiting til we are debt free and have plenty of money saved will take longer than we expect and I want my grandparents and one great grand parent to be around to see me and know that I got happily married. I guess I just want to know what you guys' stories are and what type of wedding, regrets, advice, experience you have on this :) thanks and sorry for the lengthiness.
