Try to conceive now? Or try to conceive in a month?

My dh and I are taking the plunge...ish!  With my job, there are more ideal times to have a child than others.  However, after reading many heart breaking stories and reading about so many people that have been at this for a while, I thought, "Why are we waiting just one month?"  Is that one month going to make a world of difference in the grand scheme of things?  Sure, I feel like a kid on Christmas!  I don't wanna wait!  I want to get to it, because what if it does take many tries?
