About  3 weeks ago I got my BFP. Four subsequent test then confirmed it. I was scared initially as it was not planned but then very happy. My husband and kids have been begging for one more for some time. A couple days later I started spotting very lightly. Brown. By the end of the day it was redder and a little more than light so I moved up my doc appnt and went in. The urine test in the docs office said negative. The doc did an ultrasound estimating me to be about just short of six weeks exactly. The ultrasound showed Nothing. She said either it was very very early or a chemical pregnancy. She then did blood work to get better answers. That came back showing a very low hcg hormone 19 to be exact. She explained that the urine test only detect levels as low as 30 and that's why mine came back negative. So either my home test were  more sensitive or I was indeed having a miscarriage.  She said to come back for another blood draw in a couple days unless I started my period that would confirm the miscarriage for sure     That night I started bleeding. It was normal like a regular period and lasted about 5 days. Then it stopped for two days. Then I started spotting very lightly again and have been since. About 2.5 weeks now. Sometimes light sometimes more than. But never more than one panty liner can handle a day. Sometimes brown sometimes red. 

This morning I took another pregnancy test. Not sure why. Just reasons in my gut. Not feeling totally at peace I guess. It came back with a quick and bold positive. I called the doctor they got me in an hour later and repeated the same steps in the office.  This time the urine test came back positive tho she said faintly. The doc didn't do an ultrasound but did a physical exam and said my womb felt small. More blood work so I won't know til that comes back what the hcg level is. But I'm confused. Any theories????? Anyone have something similar?  Is it possible I am pregnant even with the bleeding?  

Is it strange if I was miscarrying that my hcg levels would be going up instead of down?  Does a miscarriage last this long?  How quickly do ur hormone levels return to normal following a miscarriage?  Is three weeks normal?  

Could the five days bleeding have been implantation bleeding???
