Rash from Nexplanon?

I got the implant inserted on July 6th and about a week later I noticed I was red and itchy right where the implant is. I didn't think anything of it because I'm always getting attacked by mosquitos and they usually flare up pretty badly, my boyfriend pointed out that it looks a lot like his psoriasis and I've been doing research and there have been claims of it being a rare side effect. Has anyone else had this problem? I really don't want to get it removed.
