Does your baby nurse on 1 or 2 sides?

Do you nurse baby from one side or both at each feeding?  my drs always told me do 1 side per feeding so she gets the hindmilk, but now that she's 3 months old & needs more milk im wondering if i need to give her both breasts for each feeding...what do you ladies do? Thanks!

The lactation consultant at the hospital told me to feed her from one side until it's empty and then offer the second side as a top off. I've always done this, personally.

I used to only offer one breast at feeding and let him drain the whole breast but lately I have changed and I will do both. However I do let him go as long as he wants on the first breast (to get as much hind milk as he can) before I offer the 2nd. So sometimes he only eats on the 2nd side for a few minutes if he is not that hungry and then sometimes he will eat all of the 2nd breast also! Sometimes if he doesn't eat all of the 2nd breast I will pump it to save for when I go back to work.

1 side. Nursing baby #4 and I have an overactive let down and tendency to over produce. This is what I've found that works best for me. And has worked for all my kids.

I just did a breastfeeding class today. They said feed from one breast then always offer the second.

I will probably pump the second if she doesn't feed so that I can ensure I pump enough when I go back to work.

My daughter is 4 months and she has been feeding from both sides since she was a little over a month

Baby is 1 month and depends like now He was sleeping for like 3 hours or so , he woke up and nursed only on one side, he just felt asleep after A burp!
