Laparoscopy what to expect????? 😯

Question

Scheduled for a laparoscopy for 4cm complex cyst removal from ovary and possible endo.

What can I expect? Dr said I will have to spend the night in hospital.

How long after can I start ttc again?

I had one 6 years ago to remove Endo, after 3 years of unsuccessfully TTC. It was an overnight stay in Hospital. I was sore for about 3 or 4 days after and had to take it easy for about 2 or 3 weeks all up.
No shagging for about 2 weeks - not only to let me heal, but also to avoid infection.
The next day I was told that it would take 3 months for my periods / cycles to return to normal and that my best chance for conceiving naturally was at the end of that 3 months - for the following 12 months ... 3 months and 1 week after the op we conceived our long awaited bundle of joy.
Def wait till after a period before TTC. My specialist did warn me that chances of miscarriage are higher without waiting for a period.

I had one done last summer I had an 8cm cyst on my right ovary. I ended up being in a ton of pain my doctor was able to save my entire ovary and not cause any damage to it... I'm thankful for that but the pain I was in after was horrible hurt to get up hurt to bend over and even going to the bathroom was painful. I didn't start feeling better until 2 weeks after. they had to make a larger incision because it was too big to pull from my belly button. so my doctor said I'd be in more pain then normal. I had to wait 6 weeks without having intercourse. good luck to you! hope all goes well.

I had one two years ago, mine was for a cyst removal on my fallopian tube, but sadly for me what they had previously diagnosed as a cyst turned out to be my fallopian tube had twisted and distorted, they ended up fixing my fallopian tube but the fact it had twisted and distorted did leave scarring which does cause troubles with conceiving 😢 other than this news it wasn't to bad at all i felt a little groggy afterwards and had pain and bleeding like a bad period for a few days but that passed really quickly, i also had alot of gas and trapped wind which seemed to travel everywhere! A hot water bottle was my best friend 😊 i was told by doctors to try and not 'do the business' for 2-3 weeks due to increase risk of infection but im sure they will inform you about that before or after the procedure xxx
