How does clomid work?

I'm curious how the whole process went for you.  I don't start mine until next cycle just curious as to the different directions women received

I took mine CD 3-7 50mg the first month and I didn't ovulate on it, this month I am taking 100mg. The only side effect I got was hot flashes.

This is my second round. I took 50mg last month and this time I'm taking 100. I've had bad headaches and cramping with both. The cramping is worse this time for sure. I know when I ovulate now cause it's extremely painful when I do! I also stay very hot. I was hot natured before but it's bad now!
