Where will the baby sleep??

Question

First time mommy here! Wondering what our best option is regarding where the baby will sleep. I don't want to buy too many baby items Bc I hate clutter and don't want a bunch of stuff laying around after the first year. So what item do you think is more important for a baby to sleep in? Thanks for your input.

Baby will be sleeping in our bed with us from infancy to whoever she feels she is ready for her own bed. #IloveCoSleeping!

I am buying an IKEA crib to make this co-sleeper. Only $75 and after we are done co-sleep, it can be a regular crib and toddler bed.

Get a convertible crib that turns into a full size bed. Bassinets are only usable for a few months. Make the best of your money.

Our first (and only until Nov) went straight to the crib. She did great too and is now 9 months and knows no different! I personally don't like co-sleeping or having them in the same room because I don't want to break the habit down the line of them getting used to being on their own at night. Her room is literally RIGHT across the hall and we had our baby camera so it was perfect.   We will be doing the same with our second little
girl in November 👌🏻

I have two boys that went straight to their crib from day one. If you have a good monitor, I don't think anything else is necessary. They are too small to be moving around and you can hear crying just as easy. I personally had to get out of bed and sit upright for successful breastfeeding so I had to get up anyway. Just my personal experience.

Baby girl isn't here yet but we are getting a pack n play with bassinet attachment for the down stairs, crib for her room and my sister is giving me her moses basket for our bedroom. I've realized she needs too much and clutter is inevitable with a baby. We'll just put the stuff in the attic as she outgrows it so we have it for the next

We are doing the nursery with a crib but for the first few months he will be in the pack and play in our room.

I've got a moses basket and a rocking stand for the first few months.  At night it'll be on the stand at my bedside so I can see and hear him and to make night feeds easier.  During the day it's easy to take with me around the house so he can nap safely but still be near by. They're quite inexpensive here and I think the convenience is worth the cost. When he's too big for the moses basket we'll transition into a cot that'll convert into a toddler bed when he's older.

My pack n play has a bassinet attachment, so we'll use that in our bedroom at first until we move her to her crib in her room

If you have room in your bedroom, just put the crib beside your bed until a few months when they can be in their own room. Ifffff you don't want to buy something else for the baby to sleep in.
