Post partum sex

I'm 5 weeks post partum. I had one long stitch put in for a second degree tear. It looked like he stitched me up tighter than I was before I got pregnant. Had my check up 3 days ago. My doctor said everything looks great and i can return to all activities. But because I think it looks so tight now I'm terrified to have sex. My husband has been so excited since my appointment. :( I hate to keep shutting him down, before I got pregnant we had sex all the time.
