So I have strict parents, I get where they are coming from but I wanted to see if I could get input on what is happening here. I'm 17, 9 months from being 18. My mom constantly tells me that I need to be a classy young lady and avoid certain things including; being along with a boy, texting a boy too much, swearing, being around anyone that swears and stuff like that. I love dark humor and if she knew about it, I would be dead. I'm not allowed to date and I'm pretty sure she won't allow me to date until I'm 30. She goes through my phone, messages, pictures and apps all the time. I get it, she pays for the phone, her rules. But, if I got a job and payed for my own phone, she would still look through it, because she would say I am still her child. She thinks the only time a guy should ever be spending an overnight with a girl is if they are married, I'm not talking about sex, I'm just talking about overnight. I have some serious differences in my thinking than her. My mom tracks me by GPS by my phone all the time. She has to know where o go at all times, and I have to get exclusive permission to leave the house if I want to. I know I am under 18, and still live In her house, I am not trying to fight that but I just want opinions on this.
