Weaning off breasts?

Question

FTM wondering when you non FTMs who EBF your babies weaned them off your breasts? I am going back to work the middle of October. I pump and freeze but I'm wondering how soon before I go back to work should I start giving my baby formula? And how much? I know there is probably no right answer but I just want some opinions.

I went back to work at 5 weeks pp and it's been 3 weeks And she hasn't had a drop of formula and I don't plan on weaning until 4 years old. My SIL had 6 kids and the shortest time she breastfed was 2 years.

I went back to work at 12 weeks with my daughter and continued to EBF until she was 18 months.  I never had a problem with supply after returning to work, I pumped once in the morning and once in the afternoon, then eventually just once in my lunch break.  At 1 year I introduced while milk, then only nursed once at bedtime until 18 months. Weaning was not fun, my daughter would still try to pull my shirt up at bedtime until after she was 2!!
