AF due Dec 13th when should I take a test?

We have been TTC for six months now. We used pre seed during my fertile window. This waiting process is killing me ? when is the best time to have a home pregnancy test?

I wouldn't take one before the 8th and honestly I would wait until the 13th if it were me, I hate getting a bfn.
