So confused... Need help!

So I took a digital clear blue test just now and it said not pregnant. I read somewhere after took it that these tests can be inaccurate. So I took it apart and looked up the disassembled test. Can someone that is smarter than me explain the results and what I should be looking for? Thanks in advance. I probably tested way too early. My period is due 7/23.
