Which birth control is best?

Hey guys I'm thinking about getting on birth control and I was just wondering what method(s) work best for you and your partner.

I loved the mirena iud. We are trying to get pregnant now so it's gone but I miss it! My skin was great, no mood swings, very light periods, and I lost 5 pounds my first 2 weeks with it. I had it for 3.5 years and never had a single issue with it. I don't do well on the pill as estrogen gives me migraines and the depo shot made me gain 25-30 pounds within a year. I didn't like the idea of the patch and I never tried the nuvaring. I will definitely be going back to an iud when we need birth control again.

The pill and patch worked best for me. For the pill there's a million combinations so there's bound to be one that works for you. The patch was just no fuss and I didn't have to remember it and there were no side effects for me personally. I tried the nexplanon (implant in the arm) and it was literally like I was possessed by Satan himself. It was awful. And there are so many horrible reviews for it so I always tell people about my terrible, traumatic experience with it because it's really not all that rare that it happens. And because of that I wouldn't try an IUD because when I wanted to stop using the implant I had to wait to get into the doctor. I couldn't just stop using it like the pill or patch if it wasn't working for me. I actually told the doctor if they didn't take it out I would cut it out myself with a steak knife and was 100% serious. Also the Nuvaring is similar to the patch so that's a good option. And last, the depo shot is proven to be TERRIBLE for your body. Don't touch it. I'm honestly surprised they haven't taken it off the market yet.
