What did your doc do for you?

I had a MMC in Sept 2013.  Got my BFP thanksgiving.  Called the doc and the only thing they'll do is have me come in for a "confirmation of pregnancy" appointment on 12/15.

I've seen a lot of women on here who's doctors had them come in right away for blood tests, etc.  so now I'm wondering if I'm getting gypped in the "reassurance" factor.

What did your doc do for you, if anything, to ease your early BFP after loss worries?

I was 12 weeks along and my water broke on October 6th 2014.
Just found out we are expecting again and my doctor first did blood tests last week (all is well!) and we are having an early ultrasound right at 6 weeks to reassure us. 
We have a fantastic doctor, who really understands this.

I mc last month and I'm pregnant again. Dr wants me to come in at 6 weeks for blood test confirmation. And 8 weeks for ultrasound

My family dr would send me to ultrasounds whenever I wanted to help ease my mind. Unfortunately they were not with the dr. so I had to rely on the body language of the tech telling me if everything is ok. From my unfortunate experiences I've learned that if they don't offer a picture, you're in miscarriage town, at least at the place I go to.

First off what is BPT? Haha ...anyway I had a mmc in July and then found out oct 18 I was pregnant again. My dr really doesn't show any worry this time around. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks (usually that's the earliest they will do one) and the baby had a strong heart beat! I don't think the dr will do much unless you've had 3 mc in a row

I had a MC in April 2012, I got my BFP on 10/17, called doc on 10/19 and went in 10/20 for urine test, Q and A, first ultrasound at 7+1, second at 10+1, third will be at 14+1. My doc knew how scared I was and I love her and the office, everyone is so sweet. If you have options, find the doctor or midwife who will give you peace of mind, that's your right regardless of what's standard.

My dr didn't do anything for me after I got my BFP this time. I had a mmc in June, and since I've only suffered one loss, they didn't treat this pregnancy any differently. Not until you have 3 or more losses. They saw me at 8 weeks (their standard) & gave a dating ultrasound, though, so that helped ease my mind! But they never sent me for bloods or anything! Needless to say, I was a little panicky this time around... especially after a previous loss!

I'm just doing an early ultrasound. Personally for me the hcg levels don't mean much. When I had my first blood draw for my first pregnancy I was 8 weeks and about 85,000. Little did I know the heart had stopped beating already at 6.4 so in retrospect when my doctor said "you're definitely pregnant!" ... I actually wasn't. ? So I think I'll be ok with this pregnancy and an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I will probably occasionally hpt at home just to make sure the line is darkening for peace of mind!

Stress to ur doc that ur nervous and want some reassurance. That's what I did after I mc in sept. I got my positive early nov called my doc and they sent me right away for blood work then again 72 hrs later. Had my first prenatal and ask the pa about an early ultrasound to make sure everything is ok and we go in 3 days! Good luck!
