Foul stench?

I've been using MeLunas for five cycles now, and for some reason they have smelled SO BAD whenever I take them out this month.  It's a bloody/iron-y smell, but it's super strong and I can smell it the instant I break the suction.  HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Usually the only time a strong odor is present is when you don't have a proper seal. If your cup opens up properly after insertion, there should be a seal against your vaginal walls, which prevents any air flow. When your menstrual fluid is exposed to air, the blood oxidizes, causing that "period smell". With a proper seal, there's no air flow, therefore no odor. Have you tried inserting your cup in a different way, so that it unfoldes completely? This might solve your problem! Hope this helps!

Answer

Boil your cup with a tablespoon or two of lemon juice and like a cup of water. The smell will go away completely or it'll at least help it
