Ectopic pregnancy

I had an ectopic pregnancy about 5 years ago. Had to go through surgery to remove the baby. My doctor told me there would be no way of knowing if my Fallopian tube was damaged until I try to convince. Well fast forward to now and my husband and are trying to conceive. It's only month 4 now but I'm wondering if this will have any affect on us trying to conceive. Anyone ever have one before and still be able to have a baby afterwards? Any complications? Any advice? Thank you!
