I took a pregnancy test today

I took a pregnancy test today it came out negative I'm so disappointed. But going on 8 days with no period. and I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative now what I've been having sex all the time with the love of my life and still nothing. Can someone help me out. I'm trying to conceive.
