Gonorrhea false positive???

Okay, so my doctors office called me back after my tearly check up swab (i am on bc) and said i tested positive. In this last February i had abdominal issues in my illium and they tested me for everything, took a pee sample, std's came back negative. Had not had issues since. Now my doctor called me saying i tested positive for gonnorrhea. However I have been with the same partner for almost 8 months now. Is it possible this is a flase negative? I was negative before him and he had not had unprotected sex (without a condom but with bc)with anyone else but me. Just looking for answers as to how we would have gotten it if we were both negative beforehand
