Idk which birth control to get

I'm 17 and I'm about to get birth control. Im not sure what form to get. I kinda nervous about the long lasting effects. I've heard that sometimes even after u stop u still cant get pregnant. I'm just wondering what everyone elses experience was and form of birthcontrol would they recommend.
