What did you wear at your baby shower??

Hey ladies! I NEED to know what you wore for your baby shower. Is it bad that I want to look the best? I know all the girls I'm friends with will be all dressed up too and I want my bump to be the center of attention and I think the best way to do that is with a beautiful dress. I found this really cute white dress, and I was going to wear bright shoes for some color. But one of my friends told me not to wear white because whites for a bridal shower... Which honestly didn't even cross my mind until now. Should I just say what ever and do it anyway?? What do you ladies think??
