Getting sick from being cold?

Question

So in my house we have central air and heating and the air always gets really cold at the end where my room is. I woke up at 2 am this morning and I was shivering from my head to my toes almost uncontrollably. Then I got this really bad nausea and when I went to the bathroom I threw up a little bit. Could being so cold make me throw up? 
I haven't had sex any time lately and I am on BC so I ruled out being pregnant.

Being cold can lower your immune system enough so when disease-causing bacteria is present, your immune system is not able to fight it off as well as usual and thus you get sick.
Throwing up because you're cold and not because you're actually sick from being cold is odd, and I doubt the throwing up and being cold are related. Sometimes when I'm still mostly asleep, pain or discomfort becomes magnified because I'm still in a sleepy state. So a little tummy ache feels like the world is ending, or a tiny nausea makes me want to sleepily dart to the toilet.
