How soon..?

I've had an inkling that I had PCOS from a fairly young age - (my cycles started at thirteen, and was definitely not normal) - but my fear of doctors put me off seeing a doctor.

Last month I bit the bullet and went to the GP, had a blood test - which came back as normal, and then had an ultrasound on Wednesday, which confirmed PCOS.

I was wondering how long it may take to be prescribed Metformin or Clomid to get the ball rolling..? As SO and I want to start TTC in the next two years or so.

When I found out 6 years ago I was put on clomid the next month by my OB. Two cycles and I was pregnant. This time my family doc was okay with doing clomid and it took two rounds again. I am 5 weeks pregnant.

I got dignosed  with pcos this year,I didn't know I had it until I went a month without no cycle back in May 2014. I went to the doctors got my blood work done and ultrasound done which confirmed the pcos. I then went on to see a gynaecologist who sent me back to get some more blood work done which tested my hormones etc that was 2 months ago I'm still awaiting an appointment  to see a fertility doctor who can and hope will put me on meteformin....which I know won't be till next year :( the waiting alone is not doing me any good as I'm the worst stress head going!! Pcos sucks ??

The day I was diagnosed with PCOS my doctor put me on Metformin and gave me a round of Clomid for my next cycle. I got pregnant about 1-2 weeks after being put on the Metformin. Never even had to take the Clomid. Good luck!
