Bikini age?

I'm 16 years old, 5' 7", and 130 lbs. I'm involved in many sports so my body is in shape and honestly not too bad. My mom is obsessed with me not having a bikini of any kind. My tummy can't ever show! I can wear a tankini now but I really want to wear a bikini because they are so much more comfortable and it makes me more comfortable in my own body. She says I'm too young, but literally there's women and girls of all ages wearing bikinis everywhere. Advice??
