Blood Test showed low progesterone levels??

Question

I'm trying not to freak out because my doctor said there's no reason to but I had a miscarriage on March 2, so I'm nervous.

I had blood work done on Tuesday (4w4d) to test HCG and Progesterone levels. My HCG levels were good, 173. But my progesterone level was at 13.5, when doc said they like it to be at 15 at this point.

She proscribed prometrium for the first trimester.

Has anyone else taken this?? Or had low levels?? 😩😩

At 5w my progesterone level was 13.5. My doctor started me on "vagina bullets" ( what my boyfriend calls them) which I insert two times a day. I was worried, but seeing other peoples post and how it is common helped a lot. A week later my levels went up to 23! At 7w I had an ultrasound and saw a heart beat. It's something else I need to remember, but it's worth it.

I'm taking the same medication vaginally. My doctor believes that with my previous miscarriages it's because of low progesterone. I was at 23.7 when first checked but, they want me to continue to take it until thirteen weeks.

I just got prescribed this today as well! Two miscarriages this winter. I have read so many posts about how progesterone seemed to be the thing that gave a lot of women healthy pregnancies! Hoping for you and myself that this does the trick!

With my first child my progesterone was only 9.9 at 5 weeks. Started me on vaginal progesterone and now I have a healthy 3 year old! Hang in there!

My progesterone was 13.8 at 5w5d and my doctor said they like them to be between 8 and 20 at that point so I was okay. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I had a m/c in January and am currently 5w 5d. I started progesterone 100 2x a day the day I got my BFP. I peaked at 11 the last time and now am at 40 when I tested last week. It's great you are on it and I'll pray this is the one for you! I'm doing the same for my little bean! Xo
