High Blood Pressure After Delivery

Has anyone had / have high blood pressure after having a baby? I had my son 2 months ago and when i went to the hospital initially it was for chest pain. My blood pressure was 190/ 130 so of course i was told I would not be going home until I deliver. I was sent home with blood pressure medicine and have been going to monthly doctor appointments to get it checked to see if it is going down. I was told to start weaning off of the medicine so i have been taking half a pill this week. Today was the first day without a pill and i was feeling jittery, hot, nauseous and my pulse was through the roof. Thankfully I had a doctor's appointment today and sure enough my blood pressure was 140/110. So now I am back on medicine. I'm wondering if anyone has had this problem and how long it lasts!?
