Intervals btw IVF cycles

Last month was my first IVF cycle which failed. With no frozen embryos, I'm anxious to try a second fresh cycle and wanted to ask the group - how long did your Doctor advise that you wait between cycles? I was told that we can try again with my second period (basically take 1 month off) if all of the baselines look good. Is that too soon? Any reason to take more time in btw treatments to let your body rest? Thanks!
