I want another child but don't know how to bring it up.

I've known my boyfriend for 5 years and we are planning to get engaged when we move in a few months. We already have a son together but I want another child. He sometimes pushes the conversation off onto a different topic. How do I go about bringing it up to him without him brushing it off?
