I don't understand why so many voted 18. I think 15-16 is fine and prevents parents from pressing statutory charges on underage teens, but maybe I'm bias because my mother was one of those morons.

I voted 16. But honestly do you really think impulsive teens care about the age of consent? Even if it went up to 18 nationwide, teens younger than that would still have sex. I don't know any teens that looked up the age of consent before having sex.

Maybe we should be working on more conprehensive sex education, instead of worrying about the age of consent.

I get that the age of consent is there for legal matters but impulsive teens are more than likely not going to wait until it's 'legal'. I personally think that sex is a thing where you do it when YOURE ready, and no one should be able to tell you otherwise or pressure you into it. So I think that you can't really put a specific age to it.

I asked my 18 year old friend about this, and she said that she doesn't really think 18 should be the age of consent. She actually wished it was 20 😂
I know some states in the US make the age of consent 16, but honestly I'm not a big fan of that... We're still devloping, our hormones are all over the place, and we're going through our "rebellious" stage

As a mother I say 21. Hell if I could push it to 35 I would ! At 18 you're still so immature emotionally.
