GERD and Apnea spells

Hey ladies. Since our little guy was born on the 3rd of July he's been having apnea spells due to his GERD. He'll be so normal most of the time and then, bam, just stop breathing and go blue. We've had him in to see two different pediatricians and he's been confirmed diagnosed with it(we have him on ranitidine as well to help calm the reflux down but he still has episodes)

What I'm wondering is if anyone else is going through this same thing or has gone through this and your LO has recovered? He's oir 4th child and none of our others has anything like this and it's just so scary every time he does it....I always wonder if he's going to snap out of it again or if this is the time he's not going to....
