Missed ovulation or anovulation?

Question

I've been TTC for 4 months now and this month I decided to start taking ovulation tests. I started in CD 12 since I have a 29 day cycle and it's been negative every single day. I'm now on CD 20 and I just don't think there's a point in taking any more. How do I know if I ovulated early and missed it or if I didn't ovulate at all??? I'm so frustrated!

I am in the same exact boat. This is my third cycle ttc but the first time trying clear blue ovulation. Cycle day 18 and never got an lh surge.. 26/27 day cycles and started testing on cd 6.. So I gave up testing.

I have started on cycle day 8 and I was using Clearblue ovulation test on cycle day 9 and I have got a :-) so now I gotta wait till August 1st to take a pregnancy test and I'll come on my  menstrual cycle August 3rd
