Epidural pain?

1 month pp & my back still hurts pretty bad where my epidural was. Is this normal?

It is most likely not from the epidural. When you hold your baby, it is likely that your posture is poor because you are contorting yourself to make your baby comfortable, as well as the weight shift during pregnancy. It stresses the vertebrae in your lower back, right where the epi goes, feels almost like a bruise if it gets touched. I still have this pain at almost 9 months pp, but it does get better when I focus on correct posture.

Mine did that it was a constant dull ache. It went away by 2 months.

Not sure if it is the point of epidural but my lower back is in constant pain. I'm sure it's nursing posture & weight from larger breasts. My cup increased a lot. Also carrying a baby around all the time takes a toll.

Yes. When my epidural was put in, I felt excruciating pain in my mid-back. To this day (11 months later), I feel that pain again from time to time, mostly when I wake up in the morning. But it got better over time and it's the best it's ever been at this point. Hang in there.

16 days pp and it kills me some times. I feel something that feels like a little electric shot at that spot. It's getting better but it hasn't gone away. Praying it would some day.

Yep! My friend is still in pain a year later. One of the many reasons I declined one. Hope it calms down for you sooner
