Name stealing? But not really!
Hi mommies! So I need a bit of advice...my husband and I found out last Thursday that we are having a baby girl 💕😍(12w along). Well of course once we knew for certain we went to our list of names and easily decided on Evelyn (Evie) for our next little girl. It was easy because it just felt so right! Well just yesterday (Saturday) I was out with my two year old daughter and we ran into an old friend of mine from high school who has just had a brand new 3 week old baby girl...named Evelyn! In our talks it just didn't seem right for me to say "wow we are naming our daughter that too..." It seemed more appropriate to just let her have her moment..in retrospect, I'm guessing I probably should have, but what's done is done. We don't necessarily cross paths often, but once in a while. I'm starting to think that once we announce our daughters name, she may think we've stolen it from her! I know it seems petty and not too big of a deal, but it's been bothering me 🙈should I just let it go...or should I say something to her? Or do any of you have any other advice for me? I realize I kind of messed up and I'm trying to gracefully find a solution. Thank you ... And congrats to all you wonderful mommies!!
