Finally got pregnant, how to tell hubby?

Hey ladies! My husband and I have been TTC for a little while now and I finally got a BFP! He had been ready to be a father since we stayed dating 7 years ago but I made him wait because of financial reasons. Then we had a hard time getting pregnant (why was I even on birth control?!)

He wasn't home when I took the test so he didn't hear me squeal like a small child 😄 I've been planning on how to tell him for years but I'm so excited I don't know if I can keep it in. The problem is, I've have multiple chemical pregnancies so I'm scared to tell him too early and get his hopes up. This is the farthest along I've been since I've tested. I had always planned to surprise him with a photo shoot at 8 or 9 weeks, to be more certain I won't lose the pregnacy again. Another option is that our 4th anniversary is coming up on July 28th. But this will not even be 6 weeks yet. Or do I just tell him now and hope for the best?

So if you do lose the pregnancy before you tell him you just wouldn't tell him at all? You need to tell him so he can support you through whatever happens. Do don't have to wait for a special occasion.

I always wanted to get a T-shirt made for my husband that says "I'm going to be a daddy!". I set his clothes out in the morning and thought that would be a wonderful surprise. Good luck ! 😉

I would say you tell him on the anniversary day. If you wait a lot he might find out if you start having symptoms, like morning sickness.

I've seen really cute ideas when people give their husband little gifts that are like hints like a pacifier or a bib, ask them to tell something out of the oven which ends up being a bun, or give them the pregnancy test wrapped in a box that looks like it would be something else. At the anniversary would be cute.... losses suck. I had one a week after i told my hubby on his birthday. You know what, i was glad he knew so i had someone to go too.... if you loose it atleast you will have someone. If not you will have one hell of a memory to share that time next year with your little one there.

My hubby and I had the same issue and were basically told ivf would probably be our only option. We tried iui and on the last time it worked. I was shocked bc of what we had been told , I really thought it was a mistake. I told a million tests and still didn't believe it. I kept it from my husband for days.. Hiding the tests in drawers I knew he wouldn't look in. I made an appt to have my blood drawn for a pregnancy test at the fetitility clinic and they called me later that day to tell me I was pregnant.i went out and bought some baby clothes , a few cards for him to open and prenatal vitamins. When he walked in that night I told him. He didn't believe it! I had kept it a secret for almost a week but I was so happy I could tell him for sure.
