I'm 18 and I'm recently got the birth control implant it's 99.75% effective . The implant last up to 3 years and is inserted on your non-dominant arm in between your armpit and your elbow . It takes about 5 seconds for the implant to be inserted and the whole procedure is done within a minute or two . If you're afraid of pain it's only a pitch plus they do give you a numbing shot on your arm before it . Just based on these facts id recommend it but I have yet to actually test it out . The birth control doesn't start to take effect until 7 day to be safe I'm just add wait til 10 . I've only had it for 3 days so far . It does come with side effects for a few month like headache , nausea and whatever else because I carelessly threw away the side effects paper . Period also become very light to nonexistent over time . However my period is delayed by 2 days probably because of the new hormones but I do get cramps so I'm anticipating soon getting my period . This is just some friendly info for you ladies and insight on other people's experiences .
