What would you do if you were a teenager and your birth control failed?

Well I'd be on bc for a reason. Also, being a teenager, I wouldn't have been moved out of my parent's house or able to support myself let alone a baby. I'd be thinking about school and what career path I would take, which leaves no room for a baby. I'd abort it and I'm sure my SO would support that decision.

I would keep the baby. No matter what it took, I would make the sacrifices I had to. It would be hard, but I would put the baby first and do everything it took to keep him happy and healthy and I would love him forever

I genuinely find some if these comments quite insulting. About how if you have a baby as a teenager you wouldn't be able to support yourself let alone a baby. Im 17, i have a job and im in education for another year still with aspirations to go to university to do a psychology degree which i will still be going to do. My boyfriend is 19 and works 30 hours a week. We have our own place, we can afford food and our bills and we've still managed to spoil our baby with what we have got so far with another 21 weeks to go, as well as still being able to go out on the odd date. So to all those who say you can't do it as a teenager, you damn well can

Well, I certainly would not keep the baby, because then I would have to rely on just about everyone under the sun just to make sure my baby is looked after while I finished school and worked to support him. Abortion, or adoption, is the best option. But, just personally, I know this girl who got pregnant her senior year and gave the baby up for adoption. The pain of having to give away her daughter, she could never get over, so she got with the first guy she could and got pregnant again so she could have a baby. I honestly couldn't risk my future knowing I had all the time in the world to grow up, FIND MYSELF (alot of teenagers think they know everything, especially themselves, which is usually naive and very wrong--you WILL CHANGE DRASTICALLY by the time you are a true adult), get an education, travel, start a career path...nobody is saying these things cannot be done with a child, but there's a good chance that they will take 10x longer and be less rewarding in the long-run. I am pro-choice, especially when it comes to teenagers.

It depends on my situation at the time, I was 16 when I fell pregnant with my first and I kept him and he is great wouldn't be without him. But if my situation had been even a little bit worse off then it was then I would have seriously considered abortion as an option. I personally don't think I could do adoption I feel like I would feel more guilty about that, then abortion .

If I'm on birth control, it's obviously that I'm avoiding pregnancy and I'm not ready to be a mum. I would get an abortion all the way and wouldn't regret it, my education and future career is more important to me and I don't want any factor to stop me from achieving my goals

Personally, I feel abortion is never the answer.. I had my first child when I was 15, got a job & supported him entirely. Anything anyone did for him was because they wanted to, not because I needed it! I finished high school with credits for an Advanced Diploma in 10th grade & went to community college for the following 2 years and received an Associate's Degree.. Not to mention I had my 2nd son at 18 during my senior year.. It was hard but I did it! Now I'll be 22 and on baby #4, our final child. I'm definitely happy we have all of our children already so when they are grown we will still have time to live our lives. I love being a mother and wouldn't change my situation for anything or anyone. Of course being a teen parent isn't ideal, but you strap your boots up, put on your big girl panties & do what needs to be done for YOUR child! #MyOpinion

If I was a teenager, I wouldn't be financially or emotionally ready to bring life into the world. If I was on birth control, I would have been actively making an effort to prevent bringing life into the world. Abortion just makes the most sense in this scenario for me
