Week 5 spotting?

Any other moms to be having early pregnancy spotting? I am 5 weeks along and if I hadn't been trying to get pregnant I never would have taken a test to see that I am. I probably would have just thought I was spotting since my period is never regular. It hasn't been heavy, I have no cramping and it's a dark brown which is suppose to all be fine (according to Google) but it's nerve wracking.  I hope I'm not the only one and it is actually normal! I went to the doctor and they said I need to make an appointment with an OBGYN and all they did was confirm I was preggers. So that will be my next step.
