Anyone have pcos and not taking any medicine for it?

I got diagnosed years ago but this dr was in a hurry to diagnose me I seen her one time and she said you have pcos gave me a paper explaining it, metformin, and sent me on my way. Btw she was an obgyn not my primary I got sent there. I haven't been back to that dr or been on metformin for years and I don't have insurance right now anyway. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone doesn't take anything for pcos an actually gotten pregnant? I'm about to just give up after 7 years of trying!!

I've had pcos my entire life and naturally manage it with supplements and diet with my naturopath. I went fro no cycles ever to 11 in the last 12 months.

I manage mine with the help of a nutritionist. I lost 10-15 pounds just with her help and timing when I eat. Nutrition counseling is free under preventative care for many insurance plans. However since we are now TTC and have had no luck for 9 months, I'm on my first round of femara to regulate my cycle and try to get it from 35 days to more in the range of 28 days.  She's worried I'm ovulation too late.

Quick question ladies!! I have 0 energy all the time. When I take prenatal vitamins they actually give me energy when I can keep them down but would metformin give you energy? I know it's to help even insulin and such but I was just wondering? Or does anyone else with pcos have like no energy also?

I have PCOS and had a similar experience with an ob/gyn. It sucked. 
Metformin helps with insulin resistance but not a cysters have that!
If you're like me you probably don't ovulate, and mess can help with that. If you're overweight then losing some can help, but can be hard if you have insulin resistance too! Good luck :)

Yea i found out when I was 16. Didnt take any meds after they put me on bc. But it made my periods stop. I stopped taking the bc. Started again in my early 20s and now they are more normal with the exception of a one time period not too long ago that lasted 6 weeks. Doctor gave me a hormone pill and now its back to normal. Only had to take pill 4 days for it to work. I'm 24 now.

Yea it's very very hard for me to loose weight and finding a way for me is hard it seems like nothing works!! Last month I spotted like 9 days after my period was over and I had bad back pain and cramps is that ovulation? Would keeping up with my temp help me know if I ovulate? I have no insurance so I can't just go to the doctor especially if I'm gonna need medicine for longer than say if I have a cold an get medicine for that? Lol I really want to try naturally too I hate having to take medicine.

Anyone have pcos and not taking any medicine for it?
