Can you chew the pills?

This might be dumb but I can't swallow pills at all I just started mirvala birth control of course and I was wondering if it still works if you chew it

If your pill says to swallow it, you must swallow it.

There are a few pills that must be chewed, but generally you MUST swallow it.

If you have issues swallowing it, try a different method like a vaginal ring, dermal patch, arm implant or an IUD.

The pill is super tiny, it isn't a horse pill lol. If you can't swallow a pill, you need to find a different birth control method.

I couldn't take pills either but I pushed through it to take these pills. It's important to swallow them and not crush them. That's what my doctor told me. But I think it really depends on the pill. Try a different method.

Depending on the pill, some can be crushed. I took pharmacy tech. If it's time released, you aren't suppose to crush them. Time released usually have that shell on the outside. Before you crush a pill, always ask your doctor or pharmacist if you can. Some you have to swallow. Sometimes they can presribe you something similar that can be crushed. You would have to talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Aside from it lessening the effectiveness of the pill it will taste AWFUL like HORRENDOUS the pills are so tiny! Just get a gulp of water tilt your head back drop the pill in and swallow you wont even notice it in there!

My sister can't swallow pills either. So she puts it in a spoonful of yogurt and swallows that.

I can't really do pills either but what I do is eat a bite of something, like a grape, chew it up and pop the pill in right before I swallow so it's hidden in your chewed food and you'll swallow it with the food. It's the only thing that works for me :) hope this helped

I have the same issue 😂 just can't do it!! Even the tiny little mini pill, I tried and I crushed it. I only took one but it definitely did something! I'd go for something else if I were you :) Iv asked doctors about it and they mostly say don't crush pills apart from one doctor that said its fine!

Maybe cut it in half and take them one after the other?

If I don't want to swallow it, I usually just put it under my tongue until it completely dissolves and then drink a big glass of water
