I am currently 7w2d  and have spotted most of the time. Not quite like that, but a few times it was close. I even went to the prenatal center at the hospital around 5w5d to make sure everything was fine and it was. I'd say if you have no cramping, you're probably fine. But a doctor's visit does not hurt at all!
