Adoption scammers 😩

Well today we had our first adoption scam.  My hubby and I are adopting and trying to find a baby.  This woman contacted us and told us to be in touch with her attorney to go forward.  She sent beautiful pictures of an adorable baby.  We instantly fell in love.  We were beside ourselves excited that we had finally found a cute baby and we're going to be parents after eight years of trying.  Long story short, it eventually wound up with him demanding $2500 before we even started paperwork and wouldn't even tell us his phone number at his office or where he was employed at.  He didn't even email in complete sentences.  It was like a kid was typing it.  It was weird.  We told our attorney and he said stop all contact.  But we are just a little heart broken. We knew people did it, but didn't think it would happen to us.  So sad there are ones who hurt others out there and prey on the weak.  Hope nobody else fell for their plot.  🙁 hoping to hear about a precious baby to adopt soon.  Thanks for the prayers!
