3 months PP hair loss?

My son is 3 months old and I'm STILL shedding like crazy! I'm constantly checking to make sure there's no strands in his diaper when I change him or in his socks/wrapped around his toes, and am forever taking his hand from his mouth to untangle hair from it so he doesn't get it in his mouth! Does anyone know if getting my hair thinned would help? I've always had very thick hair to begin with and pregnancy made it thicker. For all that I shed I still have so much more to keep shedding.
