If you are not ready for children - which at 17 you are almost definitely NOT ready - then you should not be having unprotected sex.

If you are not in a committed, long term relationship where you know your partner's sexual history and whether or not he has has any std's, then you're not ready to be having unprotected sex.

I read that wrong. You should be using protection unless you really want to risk a baby but the age thing is what my vote was based on. You guys are close enough in age that I don't think that's an issue

I was 17 dating a 22 year old so no I don't think so. I think at 17+ women r usually more mature and we all know men aren't at that age or damn near 50 either so 5years older isn't bad. However I do think u should use protection of some sort unless yall R TTC .

Am 18 and my SO is 22. We've been together for awhile now, and when we first did have sex i was 17, having unprotected sex is up to you guys. Not having protection can cause a pregnancy or an STD. I have been off depo for about a month, and we always do the pull out method. But if you dont want to use protection be aware of what can happen.
