Date outfit

I'm going on a date to the city next week and I've never had anything "fancy" to wear my whole life (grew up with all boys). This is the only dress I own, but I don't have any shoes to go with the dress. What shoes would be best?! Pictures or links to any would be so helpful. Im thinking maybe like black booties with a little heel to it?
