Yes, of course it is. It's not just the obvious pay disparity either. It's the division of labor into mens work and women's work, and the devaluation of "women's work".

For example, teaching, nursing, and social services are almost entirely female dominated fields. (The numbers are 76%, 90.4%, and 82% female respectively) They're all essential services and skilled work. Yet the pay is embarrassingly low. Not to mention that when there is a man in those fields they're often favored for promotions and raises above their female colleagues.

Now contrast that with some of the highest paying work. Only 4.6% of Fortune 500 CEO's are women, 32.4% of doctors, and 33.4% of lawyers.

The numbers don't look like that by coincidence.

I mean, it's not something you think is or isn't real, it's literally an actual thing. That's like asking someone if they think the sky is blue lol.

I just saw a really interesting but horrible segment about the wage gap for the US men's and women's soccer teams. Men make $17,000/game if they win, $5000 if they lose and women get $1300 if they win and nothing if they lose. The women are 3x World Cup champions and the men have never won, women are #1 in the world and men are #30. The real kicker is the women broke the record for most watched soccer game in the history of America (men OR women), and brought in $17 million in profit for the federation, whereas the men cost the federation $2 million. It's SO infuriating.
