When telling family/friends?

When is everyone going to tell family and close friends? Before or after first ultrasound???

We've told immediate family and very close friends. I pretty much tell another that I would seek emotional support from, if anything went wrong. Knock on wood that we won't need to!

I feel as though I need to tell my Mum! We are so excited and want to tell people but know that it's best to wait until the 12 week scan. 
I may have to tell my parents soon though, I think my Mum would be upset if I waited until 12 weeks because that would be 8 weeks of me knowing and saying nothing!

I cannot keep a secret for the life of me, so I'll tell early than what is suggested. This will be the first grandchild on my husband's side of the family, so we're both just too excited! And, heaven forbid, if anything were to happen, we would need a lot of emotional support.

My hubby and I just found out and we shared the news with each of our parents and siblings. We are going to wait to tell extended family until the risk of miscarriage decreases 🙂

A close friend of mine just so happened to be in the room when the doctor called. It's kinda hard to hide news when you burst out crying on the phone, lol. I told Hubby that same night and since I had already spilled the beans to one other person, we agreed he could tell one person, so Hubby shared his news with his mentor. We plan on waiting until after the first trimester to tell our parents and siblings.

might tell my close friends before I tell my mom. (bd already blurted out I might be, so might as well confirm it with them) plus, its not as scary telling them compared to my mom. ha

I've told my fiancé and a friend but my family isn't very supportive at all. All my cousins are pregnant or post partum and Mom and Gramma are always bitching that they should stop having kids and blah blah blah. My Gramma keeps trying to convince me to leave my fiancé. It's awful. I have nobody really. It kills me not to have my family's support.
