Gender Reveal where MOM doesn't know???

Question

My sister wants to throw my husband and I a gender reveal party. I told her that, at most of those parties, the parents both know and it is a fun surprise for everyone else. I thought it might be fun for my sister to know the gender and surprise me at my own party! My husband says he is going to find out at the doctor's office. Would you ever do what I am doing? Just curious.

If it were me, I would want only my sister to know and for me and my hubby to find out at the reveal.

I wanted to be surprised with everyone else. We appointed one person we knew with out a doubt wouldn't say anything and then we were all surprised!

Same with my husband. I want to wait until birth, but he doesn't want a gender neutral shower. So everyone will know what the baby is except me

Lots of people do this now. I believe you get the doctor or ultrasound place in on it and they can send the results to whoever you want to do the reveal.

I've seen many examples of gender reveal parties where the parents don't know.  Get the doc/ultra sound tech to write it on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope and give the envelope to whoever is making the cake.
You find out when you cut into the cake!

I'm in the same boat. I don't want to know; he does. I was thinking of having the Dr write the sex on a card and not tell us until we can agree. Also my fiancé is the WORST at keeping secrets so if he knows he'll blow it for me. Lol

It was always my understanding that EVERYONE finds out together at the same time. Like have the tech put the gender on a card inside and envelope and give it to a baker to put color on the inside of the gender, etc I think it's more fun when everyone finds out together or only the host knows so they can set stuff up.

I plan on doing this. Only the baby's godmommy will know what it is and throw us a gender reveal...I wanted to wait til birth buuuut I wouldn't be able to make it 😂

My dad was the only one who knew.  We had the ultrasound tech write the gender in an envelope and gave to my dad he made the cake.  No one else knew, it was really fun!
